What’s in the first issue of New Farm Machinery?

The team at NewFarmMachinery has just put to bed the inaugural edition of our exciting new monthly print magazine – a bumper 92-page issue packed full of news and reviews of the latest tractors and farm machinery on the market.

In issue 1, our team of farm machinery experts test the new Deutz-Fahr Agrotron TTV 620 tractor; Tulip’s Multidisc XL Vario cultivator; John Deere’s Gator 855D ATV; and the Fuso Eco-Hybrid light-duty truck.

Backing this up is a 12-page guide to buying light-duty farm trucks, including detailed specifications of all makes and models available in Australia.

To add some colour to the read, farm machinery guru Dr Graeme Quick – former Principal Research Scientist at the CSIRO’s Department of Mechanical Engineering and Director of Engineering for the NSW Department of Agriculture – looks into the global trend toward electric-driven tractors; and recounts the amazing story of Elvis Presley and his John Deere 4010.

And at a practical level, we profile Bundaberg cane-growing enterprise Redtrail, owned by the Zunker family, a multi-award winning farming enterprise that has led the way in the adopting of the latest farm machinery and practices; and provide a how-to guide to building and fitting out a farm workshop.

It’s a magazine not to be missed! To get a copy, grab the latest issue of Farms & Farm Machinery magazine featuring a bonus copy of the new magazine, on sale August 15; visit NewFarmMachinery to subscribe; or look out for it in selected newsagencies in rural and regional areas.
