It is hard to spot a local manufacturer nowadays with big names like John Deere and Case IH dominating the farming industry, but Australian-owned spraying equipment specialist Goladacres is standing proud and tall.

Established for more than a quarter of a century, the Ballarat-based company has been supplying Australian farmers with quality, innovative and technologically advanced spraying equipment.

Using smart technology such as Direct Chemical Injection (DCI), Ultraglide, SmartSteer, TriTech boom suspension and aluminium boom wings in its products, Goldacres is determined to change the way farmers spray.

At the Mallee Machinery Field Days 2013, we caught up with Goldacres Victoria/Southern New South Wales territory manager Steve Ross at the company’s stand for a chat.

There, he walked us through Goldacre’s brand new release, the Crop Cruiser Evolution 6000 which he says is designed for Australia’s unique conditions featuring a significantly different mechanical drive compared to others in the market yet offers farmers more fuel economy.

Of course, its main attraction is its 6000 litre tank which gives operators more hectares of spraying in between fills.
