Silvan unveils new Nobili mulcher line-ups

Nobili's Australian distributor, SIlvan Australia has released two new mulcher ranges to the Asutralian market - the Nobili BE range and the BV PRO range.

The BE range features four working widths; from 1400mm to 2000mm in 200mm increments and is designed to work with tractors from 26 to 48kW (35 and 65hp).

Silvan says the range is ideal for grass mowing and for the reduction of green prunings up to 38mm in diameter.

The shredding of the ground cover or pruned material is achieved by the choice of blades that are either straight, or in a Y shape inclusive of a straight blade, or as a cast light hammer or a heavy-duty hammer for the larger horsepower versions.

The Nobili BE range also offers a range of user choices including a tractor front or rear mounting ability with the flexibility to offset the mulcher by from 280 to 450mm behind the tractor which is usually a desirable feature for mowing in orchards, vineyards or plantations.

The BE series has a low-profile body and is supplied ready to work with a PTO drive shaft and protective safety cover, a heavy-duty oil bath gearbox with overrun clutch and a taper locked pulleys.

The rotor shaft is also electronically balanced during manufacture for smooth spinning operation.

There is also a choice of a hydraulic side shift for operation around trees or posts.

Also newly added to the Nobili mulcher range is the BV PRO range which is the heavy-duty mulching choice for orchards and for roadside mulching by councils and contractors.

Its key feature is the ability to handle grass growth and prunings such as branches or twigs up to 63mm in thickness.

The three Nobili BV PRO working widths are 1680mm, 1860mm and 2040mm and they are judged as the ideal match for tractors from 44 to 88Kw (60 to 120 horsepower).

For instance, the central rotor runs at 1,974 revolutions per minute to obtain an impact speed at the tip of the mulching blades of 172km/h.

The body of this series has a double thickness with two mulching bars fitted, a restrictor bar and rakes which will ensure the breakdown of all the vegetative material to a fine mulch that is evenly distributed in the wake of the machine.

The height control is provided by an adjustable full with rear roller with side shift to the right hand side available as standard with an optional hydraulic side shift.

Silvan Australia’s machinery spokesman Gavin Wheatcroft says the Nobili range sets itself apart as the preferred mulcher choice by the quality of manufacture and a proven ability for managing or shredding all types of growth.

“Silvan has a very strong Nobili user base Australia-wide amongst all types of farmers, ground managers, many councils and their maintenance contractors, and although there are numerous attempted copies of these mulchers, the Italian company’s continued investment in product development, advanced manufacturing and simply their all-round ability sets a Nobili mulcher out in front of the field for break down and clean-up of all types of residues,” he says.
