Victoria-based tractor dealership National Machinery has recently signed up for distribution of the Indian-made Solis tractors in Australia.
The tractors were built and manufactured by the Sonalika Group in Punjab, India which enjoys a prominent presence in its home country and currently exports to over 70 countries.
National Machinery launched the tractors at the recent Primex Field days in Casino, New South Wales. The company will be offering four Solis models across Australia which includes the 75hp Solis RX75 4WD ROPS, 75hp RX75 4WD cabin, 90hp RX90 4WD ROPS and 90hp RX90 4WD cabin.
National Machinery Sales Manager Greg Nicholson says the quality, features and weight of the Solis tractors will provide substantial competition for major brands in the 75-90hp commercial and utility tractor market.
“The huge volume manufactured by Sonalika, around 80,0000 tractors last year, delivers great economies of scale and allows very competitive pricing” he says.
“The company has earned a global reputation for the quality, reliability and performance of its products, which meet rigorous EEC quality standards.”
Nicholson says the response to the launch at Primex has been very positive, especially from commercial operators who understood the potential and reliability of these tractors.
“We’ve already had orders for the 75hp ROPS and 90hp cabin models,” he says.
Sonalika Chief Manager for International Business Arnab Bora attended the launch alongside Vice President of International Business Gaurav Saxena.
Saxena says it was exciting to see the level of interest in Solis tractors from the Australian public.
“Our research here showed that Solis tractors would be a perfect fit for the Australian market, with strong appeal for every farming sector,” he says.
“They are ideal for many jobs and with forward/reverse shuttles and heavy front axles, they are well-suited to front-end loader work.”
“Given the success of these tractors in so many other countries, we look forward to establishing a strong and loyal Solis market here in Australia.”
In addition to the newly added Solis brand, National Machinery also carries a range of other well-known tractor brands such as Foton and Yanmar.
The company has three specialist distribution centres located in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland staffed by fully trained personnel handling sales, servicing and back-up requirements.
