According to Berrima Engineering rep Craig Woolston, the BR1200 12-metre rake is the biggest roller bar hay rake on the market.

“As farming (operations) gets bigger, machinery like balers and mowers get bigger too so we have to follow suit and keep up with market trends,” he says.

The BR1200, which features a working width of 12m and a transport width of 2.4m, is designed for contractors and farmers with bigger operations.

“It’s a good machine in just about any condition and has the gentlest raking action on the market.”

“They’re hydraulically driven too so you’re not relying on contact with the ground therefore you’re not raking in foreign materials in your hay like dust and dirt.”

Woolston says all Berrima rakes have been built and manufactured locally out of its factory in Deniliquin, New South Wales.

“They’re robust machines and over-engineered so you shouldn’t have any problems with breakdowns and failures of any kind,” he says.

“Reliability is something we strive for.”
