JNR Engineering managing director Gino D’Angelo says the 8m wide implement is suitable for use on broadacre farms for subsequent soil levelling.

“This is something we’ve been developing for the last two years with a local customer,” he says.

“After the paddocks have been roughed out by a bigger machine, this LP8000 is able to come back over and make some final touches to the soil before the farmer puts in the crops.

“It will give you a totally smooth carpet finish in the paddock.”

In addition to grading and levelling flat land, D’Angelo adds the LP8000 is capable of cutting wide drains for irrigation purposes.

He adds the implement folds up to 3.7m width for ease of transportation.

“We think this is the way broadcre farms are heading,” he says.

“The LP8000 allows you to carry about 4.5 cubic metres of dirt in front of the machine to fill any holes or drains on the farm.”

Some of the LP8000’s key features include:

  • An independent floating axle
  • Twin mast towers
  • Fully hydraulic transport-to-work mode
  • Removable skids
  • Floatation tyres
