Spray equipment specialist Silvan adds the Nobili Turbo Jet mist sprayer to its product suite.
Silvan Australia’s latest product addition, the Nobili Turbo Jet Sprayer, is specific to long-distance spraying applications where vertical or horizontal spraying is required.
The company’s machinery specialist Chris Tait says typical applications might include established orchards or tree plantations, broadacre cropping or greenhouse applications where coverage is required from a centre laneway or boundary access.
“The Nobili Turbo Jet option is also very well suited to insect and weed control in rocky or hilly ground where access is limited,” Tait says.

Manufactured by one of Europe’s leading spraying equipment specialists, the Nobili Turbo Jet is a three-point linkage or trailed sprayer attachment with a capacity of 500 to 3,500 litres.
As a twin centrifugal turbine fan, it is powered by a two-speed gearbox to provide a powerful and measured thrust of air.
Silvan claims in-field testing shows the Nobili Turbo Jet achieves substantial distribution both horizontally and vertically.
For horizontal applications, specifically, the sprayer was tested over a distance of up to 75 metres.
The swivel head is hydraulically adjustable through 90 degrees from vertical to horizontal.
It would commonly be used behind a tractor of 120 hp (80kW) or higher.
Chris Tait adds the Nobili Turbo Jet is an optional spray-head suited for use with Silvan 500-litre capacity three-point linkage units up to their 3,500 litre-capacity trailed spray units.
“Quite simply the Nobili Turbo option offers growers a highly effective option for accurate placement of insecticides in particular,” he says.
“Our experience shows the Nobili Turbo Jet really comes into its own where the spraying needs are dictated by a centre row or a perimeter roadway boundary for access, or where the field terrain is uneven.
“We have had initial successful applications in orchards, large-scale broadacre vegetable and horticultural crops, and believe this unit will be an ideal choice for greenhouse or enclosed growing situations.”
