Driven by the growth in the side-by-side segment in the Australian market CFMoto has introduced an 800CC model for the price of an ATV
CFMoto Australia says the addition of the U8 to its growing vehicle range will increase to its off-road vehicle range to six in total, with more expected in 2015.
Director Michael Poynton credits CFMoto’s production capacity of up to 600,000 vehicles a year with the fast roll out of new models in the UTV and sports side by side range.
“What this means for Aussie farmers is a range of new models coming to market regularly at prices most other manufacturers charge for an ATV with less power, towing and carrying capacity.” Poynton says.
He adds recent figures show that 23 percent of all ATV/UTV sales to the end of April 2015 were UTVs and that the 2015 sales forecast suggest that up to 30 percentof all sales could be for UTV’s by the end of the year.
“This is something CFMoto will look to capitalise on by releasing more models,” Poynton says
The new base model U8, should not be confused with its little brother, the upspeced U8LE released last year which includes power steering, a roof, windscreen, tow kit and alloy wheels for $14,990 ride away.
With 62HP under the bonnet the U8 is powered by an 800cc V-Twin with engine braking as standard. It has a 550kg towing and 230kg carrying capacity.
“The U8 is extremely good value for money at $12,990 ride away,” Pynton says.
All CFMoto vehicles are backed by a two year warranty and are supported by a nationwide dealer network of 80 dealers.
