New Holland has added a new member, the TT4.90 to its TT4 series economy utility tractors, bringing the line-up’s offering to four models altogether.
The range, which replaces New Holland’s original TT series now includes the TT4.55, TT.465, TT4.75 and TT4.90, with powers ranging from 55 to 90hp.
New Holland says the TT4.90, also the largest model in the range is ideal for farmers, small holders, or local government looking for a highly versatile tractor to carry out tasks around the property including hauling, PTO or loader work.
The new model is powered by FPT Industrial’s 3.9-litre S8000 turbocharged mechanical fuel injection engine. The Tier 3 engine has two valves per cylinder and offers maximum torque of up to 340Nm for maximum productivity.
A 540 eco PTO speed allows the engine to run at a lower working speed for reduced fuel consumption and overall vehicle efficiency.
The TT4.90 features a 12 x 12 transmission as standard with an all new dash mounted Hydraulic Powerhsuttle control as standard.
The servo assisted Powershuttle control enables direction changes without the operator removing their hand from the steering wheel. From neutral, the shuttle lever can be used to smoothly feed power to the transmission without using the clutch.
An optional 20×20 creeper transmission with Powershuttle is available with speeds as low as 0.30km/h for precision applications.
The TT4.90 has a new front axle with a single, balanced steering cylinder that is positioned high and behind the axle for added protection.
The axle delivers a 55 degree steering angle for optimal turning at headlands, in loading operations or working in sheds. The balanced design allows for an equal number of turns to move to full lock, either left or right.
A dedicated implement pump delivers 52 litres/min for optimum hydraulic performance while the independent steering pump delivers 33 litres/min for steering accuracy.
Two remote valves are fitted as standard and are color –coded for ease of hookup.
New Holland’s AP Plus loader, designed for Australian conditions is available on the TT4.90 as well as the entire TT4 tractor range. The loader’s mid-mount design, narrow boom arm and small uprights offer great visibility to the operator during loader work, and all key pivot points are fitted with heavy duty bushes.
The bushes can all be lubricated from the side of the loader with easy-to-see recessed grease points.
With New Holland’s “Cam Lock” attachment system, the loader arm can be secured and released easily without the use of any extra tools.
New Holland’s AP Plus series loaders, which come with integrated park stands and colour coded hydraulic couplers can be specified with a choice of standard or 4-in-1 bucket designs.
The ROPS platform with canopy has been engineered by design with specific trim, fenders and noise protection to enhance the operator’s experience.
Key New Holland styling cues have been incorporated into the TT4.90 model, including the distinctive front hood lights; oval front and rear work lights and the signature sloping nose for unobstructed forward visibility.
