Kioti expands CK compact tractor range

Korean tractor brand Kioti has introduced two new models to its existing CK compact tractor range, the 37hp Kioti CK3710 and 42hp CK4210 ideal for small acreage farming operations.

The two new models arrived in the country in early October and according to distributor PFG Australia, have been very well received by dealers and customers with sales of the models steadily increasing on the back of enthusiastic testimonials.

Both models feature foldable ROPS and fuel efficient three-cylinder Daedong diesel engines.

Terry and Ann McClounan recently bought a 4WD Kioti CK4210 with hydrostatic transmission and four-in-one loader from Wangaratta Kioti dealership McGregor Farm Machinery.

The McClounans have a free-range egg farm on 130ha with approximately 1,500 hens. They also have 25 breeding Angus cows and 50 first-cross ewes, and they sharefarm 40ha of canola.

Terry McClounan says his new purchase made his work around the farm much easier and safer.

“We’ve worked hard to get where we are today and you have to work hard, but the Kioti is changing the way we think about work,” he says.

“Instead of trying to do too much and lift too much by yourself, now we work smarter and we do everything with the Kioti.

“It’s not just a great time-saver; it’s a marriage saver.”

The McClounans’ Kioti CK4210 has a heavy duty hydrostatic drive and three-range transmission with a smooth twin pedal operation.

Standard power steering and single lever joystick operation provide easy and comfortable control.

The tractor also has three-point linkage, draw bar and four hydraulic remotes.  The fuel tank capacity is 34 litres.

The McClounans use their CK4210 to load wool packs onto the ute, spread and level gravel on the tracks, pull out steel posts, spread straw bedding in the chook pens, clean up around the farm, remove thistles from the paddocks and stack timber.

Terry McClounan says he is surprised at how much torque the tractor has.

“It’s very efficient and easy to operate with no clutch, whether you’re moving a hay bale or a pot plant,” he says.

“Ann’s been having a field day with it.  I come home from making deliveries and she’s out there on the tractor getting things done.”

He says while the tractor is small, it is able to get through a large amount of work.

“Being so versatile, it’s ideal for small acreage farmers like ourselves and it would also be great for cleaning yards and sheds on big properties – and it’s small enough to stick on a tandem trailer and tow somewhere else,”  he says.

Kioti’s CK compact tractors can be fitted with slashers, carryalls, grader blades, ripper pipe layers, post hole diggers and four-in-one loaders to carry out a wide range of tasks on farm.
