Mahindra's new 1533 compact tractor offers 34hp and easy-to-use forward reverse shuttle.

Both models are manufactured in the Mitsubishi Mahindra Agricultural Machinery Co. Ltd factory in Japan and are expected to be popular among Mahindra’s Australian customers.

They currently sit between the sub-compact eMax tractor models and the larger 4025 2WD/4WD and 5035 4WD Mahindra compact tractors.

"We’re suitably excited to be re-entering the 30-35hp segment of the market with two excellent products built in our Japanese factory, after a brief hiatus in 2014 with the last 3316 units being retailed that year," says Mahindra Australia Ag national sales manager Satish Chandra.

Mahindra says the new 1533 and 1538 tractor designs are driven by customer experience. They feature eco-friendly Tier 4 engines; tilt-steering columns; spacious and semi-flat operator platform with rubber mat; a hood that opens up completely for ease of access and ergonomic controls for operator comfort.

Mahindra adds the 34hp full synchro shuttle 1533 model offers easy to use forward reverse shuttle at a great price while the 1538 offers more power at a competitive price point.

Most importantly, according to Mahindra, the two new models offer sizes that small acreage owners need with the same strength that the more utility focused 4025 4WD model provides.

Both models can be optioned with a range of attachments and implements including factory self-level loaders, 4 in 1 buckets, backhoe, finishing mowers, slashers and carryalls.

A standout feature of the tractors, according to Mahindra is the self-level loaders’ safe working load of 350kgs.

"This gives customers in the hobby space a true feed out tractor for their small animals, without having to pay the price of a bigger tractor," Chandra says.

"Likewise nursery operators and landscape contractors can enjoy a big usable bucket capacity for their materials handling."

All Mahindra tractors feature a factory 3 year/2000 hour powertrain warranty as standard.

Mahindra Australia Ag national aftersales manager Stephen Bird says customers can expect full aftersales support from Mahindra on their purchases.

"Our parts warehouse is located in Brisbane for central access to the East Coast of Australia and our network of 48 ag dealers across the country is ready and prepared to support our customers’ needs as they grow," he says.
