A wide selection of sprayers, spreaders and load carrying vehicles from leading UK manufacturer Kellands is now available to local farmers

According to Australian supplier Fieldquip Pty Ltd, who was recently appointed distributor for the company, Kellands has developed its products using positive drive technology.

"Innovation is the heart of Kellands' success inspiring a new breed of weight-efficient, positive-drive sprayers and spreaders," says Fieldquip managing director Andrew Cockerill.

"As a result these units deliver greater safety, productivity and fuel efficiency compared with traditional, hydrostatic machines."

The Kellands range includes the Agribuggy - a low-ground pressure self-propelled sprayer with a suite of high-tech features and the Multidrive range – a series of multi-purpose load-carrying tractor units which can be customised with a selection of mounted sprayers and spreaders.

New to the market and Cockerill says, very much in demand, is the Multidrive M550, a 6- Wheel Drive, 6-Wheel Steer load carrier and hauler (pictured).

Factory fitted with 9,000l spray tank and massive 36m booms, the Mulitdrive's 5.5m wheel base and tri-axle configuration can carry large loads safely and securely with minimal ground pressure.

"The Multidrive's mechanical drive machines have a reputation for efficiency and cost savings," Cockerill says. "Its increased spread width means around 50 per cent more ground coverage."

A 3.0m track width designed especially for CTF systems prevents crop damage from wheel marks.

Cockerill adds Fieldquip is currently taking delivery of the latest batch of high-performance machines.

Based just outside Brisbane, Fieldquip will handle all initial enquiries for Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.

"We have appointed The SprayerBarn as the Kellands dealer for NSW, Victoria and Tasmania," he says.

The SprayerBarn outlets will be located in

  • NSW: Dubbo, Moree, Parkes and Narrabri,
  • Victoria: Swan Hill and Horsham
  • Tasmania:Latrobe.
