Taiwanese motorcycle and off-road vehicle manufacturer Kymco has expanded its next generation utlility side-by-side offering by adding the 700cc UXV 700i LE EPS model to the range.
The new UXV 700i LE EPS will arrive in Australian dealerships this month and will feature a range of new productivity and safety features including electronic power steering (EPS).
Kymco Australian distributor Mojo Motorcycles’ director Michael Poynton says he is expecting the model to garner a huge amount of interest in the Australian market.
“Late last year we launched the first of our next generation models. That has been an incredibly successful launch and we’re expecting similar results with the UXV 700i LE EPS,” he says.
“This part of the market is really booming as both recreational and agricultural users start to get their head around the very real safety and performance benefits of running this type of vehicle.”
Kymco says the UXV 700i LE EPS is great value for money as it offers customers several new features such as EPS yet has a starting price of less than $500 above the outgoing model.
“It’s great when we can use power steering to reduce rider fatigue and increase manoeuvrability without really increasing the entry price,” Poynton says.
In addition to the EPS, new features on the UXV 700i LE EPS include a 3,000-pound winch, 14 inch black alloy wheels and metallic painted plastics, which all come standard.
Like its previous model, it is powered by a fuel-injected 45hp 695cc engine and features a bullet proof CVT automatic.
The transmission supports active engine braking and a front diff-lock enables push button selectable 2WD / 4WD while the independent suspension delivers a full 12 inches of clearance.
Other features on the new utility vehicle include a tilting cargo bed, in-cab storage, seat belts, side-window netting and shaft mounted park brake.
The Kymco UXV 700i LE EPS will be priced from $14,990.
