The series will feature nine new models with power ranging from 165hp to 280hp. Massey Ferguson says the new series has been designed to do more around the farm while offering fuel and cost savings.

“The MF7700 series continues Massey Ferguson’s drive to develop dependable, straightforward, low maintenance tractors that provide efficiencies across all farming operations,” Massey Ferguson general marketing manager Michael Partridge says.

“These new tractors benefit from the excellent pedigree established by the MF 7600 series which won Machine of the Year, Tractor of the Year Golden Design award as well as gold medals and numerous accolades across Europe.

“It has also established a proven track record and gained strong respect from customers.”

The MF 7700 series is powered by six-cylinder AGCO Power 6.6-litre and 7.4-litre engines, equipped with the latest SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology.

Larger catalysers remove more pollutants, but remain contained neatly within the same-sized enclosure, retaining its forward visibility.

An Engine Power Management (EPM) feature provides up to an extra 25hp to improve efficiency and performance.

The new range is available with several transmission options including the Dyna-4, Dyna-6 semi-powershift or Dyna –VT continuously variable transmission; with variable power management across the range of models.

Massey Ferguson’s Dyna-VT transmission provides stepless speed changes and allows operators to select any combination of engine speed and forward speed to optimise output and work quality.

All models in the 7700 series feature high hydraulic capacity and up to eight spool valves for optimal implement control.

They have a new load-sensing, closed-centre pump which delivers 190 litres/min on Dyna-VT tractors and 110 litres/min on Dyna-6 models as standard. An option of 150 litres/min is also available on Dyna-6 models.

All load-sensing models have decompression levers on the spool valves for easy coupler connection and removal.

In addition, Massey Ferguson has added up to 12 per cent more weight on the MF7700 tractors compared to previous models to allow for larger loads and heavier trailers.

The new tractor line-up also has AGCO’s newest telemetry and technology solutions such as Agcommand and Auto-Guide 3000 installed, which Massey Ferguson says offer up to 12 per cent in fuel savings during in-field operations.

Other key features of the new range include:

  • Electronic PTO speed selection (available on Efficient and Exclusive models).
  • Double acting rams on the suspension for 30 per cent more travel than previous designs.
  • Command Control Armrest for easier operation (on Efficient and Exclusive models).
  • Clearer dashboard layout with better colour display and adjustment.
  • Multi-function joystick (optional on selected models) which provides press button. shuttle control, as well as operates the hydraulic spools or loader. It can also be sued to change forward speeds and direction.
  • Cab suspension and air suspension swivel seat for extra comfort.
  • Great visibility with automatic flashing beacon light and sensor lights.
  • Extra plug sockets for electronic gadgets including laptops and mobile phones, as well as Bluetooth connectivity.
  • Automatic air-conditioning, telescopic side mirrors and electric de-icing.
