A new range of pasture sprayers by Silvan Australia will feature 2,500 and 3,000-litre tanks and can be customised with different options to suit individual spraying needs.
Customers will be able to select booms of up to 18m and different electric control options, as well as choose from four different axle and tyre options to suit their application needs.
The range features a Polytuff impact resistant polyethylene spray tank with a calibrated fill sight line mounted on a fully galvanised chassis.
A standard 100-litre fresh water tank is mounted forward on the chassis for tank flushing or hand washing purposes.
The basic pump offering is a PTO-driven Silvan self-priming oil-backed diaphragm pump with 121-litres per minute capacity at 2000kPa pressure.
Farmers or contractors can also opt for three other pump options up to a hydraulic drive centrifugal pump of 400-litres per minute open flow at 7000kPa pressure.
Four control options are available for customers to choose from: including a five section Silvamatic electric controller and a Bravo automatic spray rate controller. All options allow operators to control spraying from the tractor cabin.
The four track and wheel options range from a two metre width track axle with 24-inch lug tyres up to an adjustable track option fitted with 44-inch lug tyres.
Other undercarriage options include a turf tyre choice and a Simplicity axle fitted with 15-inch lug tyres.
Silvan has made available a wide selection of booms to choose from with the new pasture sprayer line; starting with a 10m spray with hydraulic fold Devil Boom to 12,15 and 18m booms with self-levelling, hydraulic lift and airbag suspension options.
Other options available ex factory include two different foam markers, a chemical hopper, three or five section electric over hydraulic controls and two hose reel choices with hose length and nozzle choices for spot spraying applications.
Silvan Australia’s spraying specialist Chris Tait says the range has been designed to meet customers’ demands.
“Our farmer and contractor clients always want options to ‘spec their sprayer’ to their individual needs,” he says.
“Silvan believes that by offering a strong feature based 2,500 or 3,000-ltre capacity trailed spray tank, it addresses the core requirements with the ability to add the operational and boom choices needed to address the infield requirements on farm.
“It is likely to be well recognised as the solution on which the best operational choices can be built.”
Silvan’s new pasture sprayer range will be priced from $21,495 including GST for the base 2,500-litre model.
