After nearly 12,000 entries and months of breath-holding, Gordon King from Coffs Harbour, New South Wales has been named the lucky winner of the Ultimate Kubota Farming Package worth over $50,000.
The 53-year-old former mechanical engineer took delivery of the impressive prize package on March 1 this year at the premises of Kubota 2015 Platinum Dealer, All Diesel Equipment Sales and Service in Coffs Harbour.
The prize pack includes a brand-new Kubota RTV-X1120D 24hp (17.9kW) diesel utility vehicle; a plastic canopy, a GR2120 diesel four-wheel drive ride-on mower with 48-inch (122cm) cut, a DG7500 7.5kVA diesel generator and a SP Light garden trailer.

All Diesel Equipment Sales and Service dealer principals Darren McAnally and Grant Buck were present to hand the prize over to a very chuffed King.
“It’s not every day a man wins $50,000 worth of A-grade gear,” King says.
“I can tell you, a lot of blokes in my business will be jealous when they find out how lucky I am.
“Half of them would sell their favourite aunty to get some of this gear.”
These days, King lives on acreage near Coffs Harbour making a living out of under-house excavations, hence he is no stranger to top class construction and property maintenance equipment.
Interestingly, he also runs a marine salvage business because “people often lose things at sea and I know how to find them,” he claims.
The Ultimate Kubota Farm Package competition ran from September 23, 2014 to September 30, 2015, with the winner being drawn on October 27, 2015.
