The Multi Tool Trac has a completely electric powertrain, a track width that can be adjusted between 3.2m and 2.2m while you’re driving, and five positions for tools and attachments.

It has been designed this way so that it can be driven on roads at it minimum track width, and at its maximum on the land.

There is an electric motor for each wheel that is capable of putting out 59hp, and the combined output of these is 236hp.

While it primarily uses electric technology, powered by a 30 kWh battery; it also has a 6-cylinder, 210hp diesel engine, with an efficient high-speed generator as a range extender.

It incorporates a Controlled Traffic Farming (CTF) system to reduce the amount of soil compaction that is caused by most large tractors.

The tractor also has a long 5.5m wheel base to help fit more equipment between the front and rear wheels and also helps give the driver better visibility of the crops below.

Other features include an adjustable cabin that can be moved over the whole length of the frame, three positions for hitch and PTO, and a 5-tonne loading capacity.

The first prototype Multi Tool Trac was built in 2015 and the second prototype is being tested now.

The final design will be settled on in the next rear or two and Boessenkool plans to have the Multi Tool Tracs on the market by 2019.
