The 608FC corn head is slim enough to allow the combine it is mounted on to travel along narrow roads and eliminates the need for harvester operator to take off and reattach corn heads when moving from field to field.

John Deere harvester works senior marketing representative Roger Maes says the 608FC is durable, productive and economical.

"Harvesting with a new John Deere eight-row folding corn head can lower operating costs and allow customers to harvest additional hectares per move by not having to transport the head separately," Maes says.

"That helps contribute to their bottom line and make them much more productive and profitable."

The 608FC is available in 762mm row spacing, either with or without the stalk chopping option and the head folds to 3.3m in width for transportation.

Other features include an improved row unit slip clutch and drive shaft interface.

"The 608FC is the ideal green-on-green header solution for customers that need to drive down narrow roads to access fields they need to harvest, without having to transport the head separately," Maes says.

The John Deere 608FC Folding Corn Head and other grain harvesting attachments are now available via the Australian John Deere dealer network.
