The new Massey Ferguson MF 5700 SL Series tractors will range from 100-130hp, powered by AGCO Power four cylinder engines.
Highlight features of the MF 5700 SL Series include optional Speedsteer for tighter and faster turns, Dyna-4 or Dyna-6 transmissions with brake to neutral function, and the newest AGCO Power 4.4 litre, four cylinder, Stage IV/ Tier 4 engine.
The four models, the 5710, 5711, 5712, and 5713, are rated at 100hp (with 420Nm of torque), 110hp (468Nm), 120hp (502Nm), and 130hp (545Nm) respectively.
Massey Ferguson product manager for AGCO John Horan says the MF 5700 SL Series builds on the success of the MF 5600 Series.
“They mould together the compact dimensions required by livestock and mixed farmers with the performance and power needed for broad-acre work,” Horan says.
“We will still offer three models in the MF 5600 Series from 85-105hp which will be available alongside the new MF 5700 SL Series.”
The new 5700 tractors will all feature Massey Ferguson and AGCO’s Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system which Massey Ferguson says “doesn’t sacrifice power, efficiency, maintenance, ground clearance or, importantly, visibility”.
It’s called ‘All in One’ and consists of what Massey Ferguson describes as a ‘swirl system’ which thoroughly mixes exhaust gases with additive such as AdBlue.
Additionally, an electronically controlled wastegate turbocharger and Massey Ferguson’s latest “fourth generation common rail fuel injection to improve engine responsiveness and overall performance”.
This technology works together to allow the engine to operate at lower temperatures, Massey Ferguson says.
Next along the powertrain, the transmission is available as either Dyna-4 or Dyna-6, with the option of AutoDrive, which provides automatic changing of the four or six steps in fieldwork.
The Dyna-4 transmission offers 16 forward speeds as well as 16 for reverse, while the Dyna-6 has 24 speeds each way.
In the cab, the 5700s are fitted out with the same comfort features as the larger models, with a new, clear dashboard colour display which is also used on the “top of the range MF 8700 Series”.
“The MF 5700 SL Series is available with the option of Auto-Guide 3000 automatic steering as well as the AgCommand telemetry system.
“Both can also be supplied fully-installed from the factory.”
