John Deere has made the new CommandView III cab and carbon fibre boom arms available for its 4-Series sprayers.

The customisable workspace of the CommandView III cab will provide all-day comfort, John Deere says, while the lightweight carbon fibre booms are designed to help minimise crop and soil impact.

John Deere application equipment marketing manager Doug Felter says the cab technology that will make work easier for producers and contractors.

"The CommandView III cab comes equipped with the John Deere 4600 CommandCenter that enables producers and spraying contractors to efficiently capture, manage and transfer data," he says.

"The redesigned CommandArm features a multi-function handle to give operators additional ways to customise their work environment."

He adds that the cab can be optioned with a heated, fully ventilated leather seat which can swivel up to 15 degrees which increases ease of visibility for operators.

The new carbon fibre booms come in 36.6m and 40.2m variants.

"The strong, durable, and lightweight material reduces boom wing weight by more than 35 per cent, and overall machine weight, minimising negative effects to the soil or crop," Felter says.

"The booms are corrosion resistant and their simple design makes them easy to clean and maintain.

"Using the 40.2m boom can increase spraying productivity by 8 per cent compared to the 36.6m boom. That means fewer passes to finish the field."

John Deere will take orders for its new sprayer features from May 2017.
