New Holland announces T3F compact specialty tractor

New Holland Agriculture has launched the T3F, which the company is calling “the first ever compact speciality tractor”.

With power options ranging from 50hp-72hp, the four models in the series will be only 1.35m wide, will weigh in at 22kg, and be able to perform turns within a radius of 3.4m.

The new tractors, which will be available in March, will complete a series of what New Holland calls its extensive specialty offering, which includes the T4000F/N/V range.

New Holland product manager for tractors under 100hp Mark Crakanthorp says the T3F will create more options for specialists.

“This ground-breaking concept is set to open up new market opportunities in specialist orchard, nut and viticulture operations,” Crakanthorp says.

“Operations will no longer have to trade off size for power. The new T3F will satisfy power demands in intensive applications.

“The impressive hydraulic offering is perfect for specialist tasks, and the compact package will protect valuable crop trees against potentially damaging rubbing and brushing.”

A focus of the new T3F series is the S8000 engine, which New Holland says will be able to be tailored to each farmer’s needs.

New Holland says the three-cylinder, 2.9-litre, turbocharged and intercooled engines are ideal for its target buyers.

“Fuel-efficient and reliable operation is coupled with excellent in-field performance,” the company says. “Maximum torque of up to 295Nm is available together with up to an impressive 34 per cent of torque backup.

“No matter how steep the incline or demanding the terrain, the T3F will keep going. Moreover, all engines are fully compatible with B100, 100 per cent biodiesel.”

New Holland can also tailor the transmission to suit each buyer’s needs.

The company says the hydraulic system is also a standout feature of the new tractor.

“The T3F benefits from two fixed-displacement hydraulic pumps delivering a total of 84 litre/minute of flow. A 52 litre/minute pump is dedicated to HPL functions and two rear hydraulic remote couplers,” it says.

Additionally, the entire range will be fitted with New Holland’s Lift-O-Matic system, which allows operators to lift and return rear mounted implements to a pre-set height by using a rocker switch.
