Amazone reveals new operating system for spreaders

Amazone has released its new EasySet operating system for its ZA-V series of linkage-mounted spreaders.

The ZA-V series spreaders can be had in a number of different hopper sizes and configurations from 1700 to 4200 litres. Amazone claims that the new EasySet operating system will deliver “precision spreading operations at the touch of a button.”

Craig Hopkins, product manager of Amazone, says that the introduction of the new operating system to the ZA-V series means customers will get all the precision of Amazone’s top-of-the-line ZA-TS and ZG-TS spreaders, but in a more compact size.

“The ZA-V series builds on more than 50 years of leadership in twin-disc centrifugal spreading technology,” Hopkins says.

“With a maximum discharge rate of 385kg/minute, working widths of 10m to 36m and operational speeds of up to 30 km/h, it delivers top-shelf performance but in a smaller unit.”

The power take-off (PTO) driven EasySet configuration also features an entirely new, in-cab terminal that provides full electronic control of all the spreaders functions.

“With no hydraulic connections, the ZA-V EasySet can be quickly mounted and dismounted,” Hopkins adds.

“The operator simply has to connect the PTO shaft to the tractor and the three-pin power supply cable and they’re ready for work.”

The hydraulically driven Super Profis and Ultra Profis configurations can now also be equipped with the ZA-V. Features will include automatic calibration, tilt sensors and advanced ISOBUS compatible terminals.

All models now also include Amazone’s ‘Soft Ballistic Pro’ technology, which Amazone says increases all components used for metering, agitation and spreading.

Three sets of quick-change discs in three different size patterns; 10-21m, 21-28m and 27-36m are, according to Amazone, able to achieve a “perfect three-dimensional spreading pattern”.

ZA-V models can also be equipped with Amazone’s new Limiter V+ electric border spreading system which can assist with accurate spreading along boundaries, watercourses and headlands.

“This system allows the left or right apertures and spreading rates to be adjusted independently and on-the-move,” Hopkins says.

“With EasySet, it’s as easy as pressing the plus or minus buttons on the terminal.”
