Kubota launches SSV series skid steer loaders

Kubota Australia has launched the new SSV skid-steer loaders, two new models designed for use in the construction, rental and agriculture segments.

The two new skid steers are the 47.7kW SSV65 and the 55.1kW SSV65. Powered by Tier 4 Kubota four-cylinder diesel engines, Kubota says the SSV series delivers the same quality and performance customers have come to expect in Kubota machines.

The series features a range of Kubota updates including a slide-up door for the front entry that rises overhead rather than swinging out. This allows the door to be opened regardless of loader position so the operator can exit the machine even if the loader is stuck in a tight or difficult position.

The operator cab is also pressurised for dust resistance and has an automated climate control system. The SSV models feature a multi-function control lever allowing for fingertip control of major machine functions.

The skid-steers have two-speed travel as standard, with the SSV65 moving at 11.1km/h in low gear and 17.8km/h in high gear and the SSV75 at 11.9km/h in low and 18.9km/h in high.

The SSV65 has a rated operating capacity of 885kg and bucket breakout force rated at 2,195kg; while its bigger brother the SSV75 has a capacity of 1,220kg and breakout force of 2,669kg. Kubota says the long reach and high bucket hinge pin height means both models are capable of dumping material into a truck with three metre sides.

The SSV models have been designed to minimise downtime, with regular service points placed in easy-to-reach practical locations like oil and fuel filters positioned so as to avoid dripping on electrical components during changeover. The loaders’ fuel tank is located at the rear door of the machine for quick refuelling and has enough capacity for a decent day’s work.
