Introduced to Australia in 1988, the Landini 60 series tractor was known for its blue square-shaped bonnet and Australian reliability, and now it’s returned with modern styling to appeal to both new and old Landini admirers.

Landini 8860 is the only European-made utility roll-over-protection-structure (ROPS) on the Australian market and is built for utility work, hay work and lifting.

“The original Landini 60 Series was introduced in 1988, and you’ll still find thousands of them working reliably on Australian farms,” Inlon Sales & Marketing Manager, Gary Surman says.

“As we approach the 30 year anniversary of the 60 Series, Landini has made the Super even better. Many farmers will remember the square shaped bonnet of the old model,” he adds.

“The new Super 8860 has a rounded, curved bonnet design for better visibility and rounded mudguards for a smooth ride through vegetation,” Surman says.

The new Super 8860 has maintained key features such as the 4.4-litre Perkins engine which Landini believe is a feature of the Super 8860’s durability.

“The legendary 4.4-litre Perkins engine has been a true performer over many years in Australia,” says Surman. “The horsepower, stability, high-lift capacity and 3-tonne weight mean the 8860 can handle heavy duty applications, while the simple controls make it easy to operate.”

The simple control’s Surman speaks of is the convenient gearshift lever located on the right-hand side of the tractor.

“The gearshift lever on the right-hand side and the range lever on the left are easy to reach, while the shuttle lever adjacent to the steering wheel makes for quick shifting from forward to reverse,” he adds.

“For driver comfort, there’s a sprung seat and a sound-proofed rubber floor mat.”

The Landini 8860 comes with a two-year, 2400 hour factory warranty for the ROPS system, and for a limited time, Landini are offering old Landini 60 series owners the chance to upgrade to the new Super 8860 and receive a free genuine factory canopy.
