Launched at the North American farm progress show in Illinois, four New Holland’s Auto Command CVT T9 models will be available in Australia, including one scraper model.
New Holland says the new CVT T9 line-up has maximum outputs ranging from 450hp to the 615hp, the most powerful CVT tractor currently on the market.
New Holland tractor product line head Sean Lennon says the T9 Auto Command tractor is ideal for farmers needing an all-round performing tractor.
“The T9 Auto Command is ideal for the more demanding customers who require an all-round performance from their high-powered tractor,” Lennon says. “Cash crop farmers will appreciate its powerful performance in PTO applications such as grain cart and large planters.
“Large dairy and livestock operations will find handling silage packing and haulage operations much easier with the Auto Command transmission,” Lennon adds. “Intuitive and easy to operate, this multiple-use tractor brings high quality and reliability to large-scale, professional farming operations.”
The New Holland Auto Command transmission is designed to provide drivers with seamless speed changes by auto-adjusting engine power and ground speed to match the needs of its application.
The T9 Auto Command CVT has a top speed of 40km. New Holland says its excellent slow speed operation and precise speed control with the stepless ranges result in best-in-class productivity when compared to the speed steps of powershift transmission.
Features such as the SideWinder armrest with New Hollands’ fully integrated IntelliView ultra-wide colour screen system come with the T9; as does the CommandGrip handle, which the company says makes for easy use.
“By offering the most powerful CVT tractor on the market New Holland aims to meet the ever-changing needs of our diverse and very advanced customer base,” New Holland Australia high-hp tractor product manager Marc Smith says.
“The introduction of the Auto Command transmission, previously only available in the T7 and T8 ranges of tractors, cements New Holland’s focus on ease of operation and intuitive ability to complete a multitude of tasks across a variety of applications.”
