They were being shown off at the Class stand, which was graced by a visit from company legends Helmut Claas and Willi Liebherr (above).

Claas spokesman Hermann Lohbeck says that, while Claas currently uses its own engine technology in the loaders, there may be opportunity to use Liebherr technology in the future.

"That’s a discussion for another day," he said. "At some point in the future this may change but at the moment we are using our own technology to power the loaders.

"It’s a long-term decision and is an opportunity but nothing has been decided yet."

Lohbeck goes on to say China and North America will provide strong market opportunities for the company in the future.
