Bluetooth brings bite to Quicke

Q-companion support system to get upgrade in new year

Bluetooth connectivity will bring weighing results from tractors and front end loaders directly to the computer or tablet for users of the new Q-companion, the driver support system designed by Quicke.

Upgrades to the monitoring system to be introduced next year will allow for smoother exporting of data as well as access to better colour rendering and more languages, the company says.

The upgrades will increase the number of implements that can be stored in the Q-companion display from 10 to 30, while also allowing more user profiles to be added, enabling companies to track who is doing what work with the same unit.

First designed in 2017, the Q-companion makes it possible to weigh a load during a lift and to automatically keep track of all the work done with the loader, including how many lifts were done, as well as setting a target weight and monitoring when maintenance was needed.

Users can also now use a sound notification option, making the display beep when a desired height or angle set point is reached.

This way, the user will hear when the bucket is level, or when the pallet fork is on the same height as the shelf, without having to look at the display.
