Kubota Tractor Australia’s M5 series of mid-range tractors will offer buyers an all-purpose farming solution encompassing power, agility and reliability, the company says.

Launched earlier this month, the range comprises the narrow sized, 78kW (105 horsepower) M5101, the standard sized, 82kW (110hp) M5111 and the 69kW (93hp) M5091 in both narrow and standard sizes.

The standard size tractors measure between 1,982mm and 2,174mm wide, while the narrow-size tractors measure between 1,432mm and 1,723mm with standard tyres.

Powered by a V38 four-cylinder diesel engine, tractors in the M5 range boast all-wheel drive, six synchronised gears with clutch and dual-speed controls and bigger fuel tanks – 105 litres on standard models and 76L on the narrow model.

The tractors also have a Category II three-point hitch that lifts 3,200kg at the rear (standard model) and 1,500 kg (narrow models), with a power take-off of 56.6kW or 66.3kW to implements.

Kubota Australia senior product manager tractors and precision farming Konstantin Blersch says the range will suit a variety of producers, from orchard and vineyard growers to broadacre farmers.

“The M5 is the slightly more sophisticated, upmarket tractor our product line up has been missing,” he says.

“The narrow design of the M5091 and M5101 means it can operate in tight spaces and provide smooth power at all times.”

“On the other hand, the Standard M5111 and M5091 is perfect for a variety farming operations with versatile hydraulics and a tough Category II three-point hitch that lifts 3200 kg at the rear,” he says.

The standard size M5 tractor’s flat floor is 160 millimetres wider than previous models, while its cabin is designed with glare-reducing curved glass and sloping bonnet to improve visibility.

The standard-size cabin also has more storage and a new layout as well as air-conditioning, a sunroof and retractable shade, Kubota says.
