Bergmann’s spread of options

SPONSORED CONTENT: German manufacturer Bergmann's range of universal spreaders offers a point of difference for Australian operators

For spreading of organic materials such as compost, organic sludge, lime and all types of cattle and poultry manure, Bergmann offers an interesting point of difference for
interested buyers.

The company offers six different models in its TSW range – from 8.5 cubic metres single axle, up to 35 cubic meters tri-axle at water level.

Distributed in Australia by Megahire, the DLG pattern spreaders are designed to help spread material in an ecologically responsible manner over large areas.

Four of these have been tested by the German Agricultural Society, being awarded the highest recognition for their functionality and quality, with outstanding spreading precision.

All models in the TSW range have hardened steel milling unit tines and big 1,000mm spreader discs, and are designed with a tapered body width from front to rear for less drag and less wear on the floor chains and body.

The spreader blades are hardened for a longer service life and feature shear bolts for extra protection, while the milling unit is protected by cam clutch bearings.

The TSW range also features a full body width scraper floor to eliminate product bridging, with drive gear boxes on both sides of each unit to eliminate twist and keep an even pull on the four 25-tonne floor chains the spreaders use.

Four spring suspension is standard for weights up to 22,000kg and hydraulic suspension as standard from 24,000kg onwards, with axles up to 150mm thick and steer axles optional – and many different tyre options available.

Units in the range come with an auto door height calibration option, meaning the floor chains will speed up or slow down to keep the preset spread rate the same when the height of the dosing door changes.

With ISOBUS controls in use, you can simply run the spreader with tractor remotes or go with the ISOBUS system with options of scales, GPS, Automatic rate control and task
controller – enabling you to spread accurately by the tonne, or the cubic metre.

Bergmann also does spreaders with a quick release system, so you can take off the spreader and put a chaser bin or effluent tanker, tipper or whatever you like.

The spreaders are also available in a vertical beater configuration.
