Kubota Australia has launched its pre-season range for 2019 to market, with new release Kubota implements, Kubota M Series tractors, Krone machinery and products from its Great Plains division among them.

The flagship of the range is the Krone BiG M450CR mower, tailor-made for the Australian and North American market with a 11.2 metre cut width – up on the 9.95m cut width of Krone’s BiG M450CV, released in 2017.

Kubota Australia senior product manager Lars Pasedag says the 450 horsepower (335kW) mower also has an Eco mode – running at 354hp (264kW) when power is not needed.

"It also comes with a choice of a new M-Roll Steel Super Conditioner or Rubber roller for conditioning to suit a range of applications," he says.

Kubota’s M-Roll Steel Super Conditioner roller is also available with Krone’s new EasyCut TC320 and TS360 trailed mowers, and the EasyCut B1000 CR triple combination mower.

The new M-Roll conditioner features two pressure points on the lug designed to crimp hay more frequently, with Australia field tests showing this results in a much faster dry down time for oaten or lucerne hay, Kubota says.

Kubota has also introduced new innovations in its vertical tillage subsidiary Great Plains, with its Maxchisel MC5109 available in work widths of 3.5m to 5.8m with a working depth of between 20 and 30cm and a 1,111kg trip force.

The company has also modified its six and nine metre Narrow Transport Spartan II Air Drills to make them better suited to Australian conditions.

The new second generation drill features a new metering system with five sowing shafts, which improves the sowing of rye grass, as well as software enhancements to improve the quality of the job.

It also features a one pass no-till operation, dual hoppers for seed and fertiliser and the downward pressure exerted over the coulters takes up to 250kg, all in a compact design with a 3m transport width

Kubota’s latest M5 Series tractors are available in four new models, ranging from 90 to 110 horsepower, and boast 36-speed transmissions and an extra wide cabin as well as newly designed cabin controls across the range.

Kubota Australia’s pre-season offer includes a special finance offer of 0.9 per cent per annum across the Krone, Great Plains and Kubota implements range for up to 60 months.
