Through its market activity database, EquipmentWatch identified the Case IH Axial-Flow 6140 in particular as retaining the highest percentage of its original value after a five-year period based on the organisation’s market activity database.

This is the second time the Axial-Flow 140 series claimed this award, after winning it the first time in 2017. The Case IH Axial-Flow 140 series pipped the Deere S600, New Holland CR, Massey Ferguson 9500 and Gleaner S8 for this award.

Case IH product manager for hay and harvest Tim Slater welcomed the recognition for the combine harvester.

"We know the productivity and efficiency benefits of the 140 Series, but this award illustrates the value associated with investing in one of these combines as well.

"The fact the 140 Series Axial-Flow has won this award twice in three years is proof of its reliability and superior performance over a long period," he adds.

"We’re all looking forward to the release of the new 50 series in Australia this year, but the 140 series continues to deliver across the board, has all the features you need and represents great value for money."

Features of the Axial-Flow 140 Series include:

  • Cross Flow™ cleaning system – allowing the cleaning efficiency of the machine to be maintained even on side slopes
  • Residue management system – giving better control of the residue from the cab (speed and direction)
  • Style concaves – more and lighter in weight (6 v’s 3)
  • Clean Out doors – full-width sliding doors to make clean-down easier when changing varieties or locations
  • Two-speed electronic shift transmission – better harvesting speeds with less strain
  • Pivoting spout on all Axial-Flow combines – better control of grain when unloading
