The F4 series of Linkage mounted spreaders are now available in Australia to help you maximise spread efficiency and fertiliser savings.

While section control is not a new concept and an option Bredal has offered for some years, the new models feature a simplistic reliable design with minimal moving parts.

Taking the concept further, the 2019 models also incorporate the latest in spinner box design allowing full electronic control of all spreader functions including automated boundary spreading.

In order to achieve minimal overlap the Bredal ISOBus computer automatically incorporates 12 sections into the user defined swath width, the end result is approximate overlap of 1.25 per cent of field boundary.

Operation of the ISOBus system to achieve section control is simplified with very little operator input required; factory-set parameters take the guesswork out of the machine setup ensuring accurate section overlap and fertiliser placement.

Trials have shown typical overlap with a conventional spreader to be between 10 and 12 per cent, so typical savings with section control spreading systems is in the order of 10 per cent.

Further enhancing the F4 capability is the ability to spread low rates down as low as 1kg/ha as a standard option, when combined with the ability to utilise the on board weigh cells for automatic calibration, low rate spreading rates of high value inputs are consistently accurate.

The standard bin size for the F4 is 4,200 litres and includes a bin cover, ladder with platform and a lighting kit for road transport.

Bredal also offers section control capability in other models with larger capacity as a trailed version with a capacity of up to 21 cubic metres.
