Powerful concept for CF Moto

While there’s no planned launch date, an electricity-powered ATV developed by CF Moto surprised the crowd at an Italian motorcycle show earlier this month

ATV manufacturer CF Moto released an all-electric all-terrain vehicle (ATV) at EICMA, one of the world’s top motorcycle shows, in Milan, Italy, earlier this month.

In an announcement, CF Moto says the Evolution A ATV showcases its ability to push the boundaries in its powersport products.

“Similar to the automotive industry, the powersport industry needs to look at alternative propulsion methods including all electric platforms to provide a zero-emission alternative,” the company says.

“CF Moto global sees the world is changing, customer culture is changing and the powersports industry needs to evolve to meet new world demands.”

The Evolution A is powered by an electric motor and drivetrain housed in a new chassis design, with a variety of different power modes and suspension settings able to be selected while driving.

It also offers smart phone integration, which CF Moto says opens an abundance of features including custom displays, navigation, tracking aids, phone calls, notifications and social interaction platforms.

CF Moto also displayed its ZForce 1000 EPS side-by-side at EICMA, with the product set to be released in Australia in the first quarter of 2020. It was showcased at the Australian Motorcycle Festival held in Woollongong earlier this month.

The company also showed off its 700CL-X 700cc motorcycle platform, which it says shows how it is stepping up its game to compete with its Japanese counterparts.

The 700CL-X will come in a three variations – sport, adventure and a heritage model, with CF Moto saying the product will offer solid performance and a sophisticated design.

“CFMOTO customers will have access to a large catalog of genuine CFMOTO parts to further customise each model to their individual tastes building on CFMOTO’s progressive and more fun customer experience,” the company says.

The 700CL-X is expected to be release in Australia towards the end of 2020 and will include a 650cc LAMS version, while a new 300cc full-faired sports bike will debut in Australia in the first half of 2020.
