The new Cenio mounted cultivator range from Amazone comes in working widths of 3, 3.5 and 4 metres and is suitable for tractors between 100 and 200 horsepower.

Claas Harvest Centre’s head of product Paul Birbeck says the Cenio series is can operate at depths between five and 25cm, making the machine suitable for different work such as shallow cultivation or deep tillage.

"Each model features three rows of tines set on 30cm spacings to prevent blockages, even in heavy residue," Birbeck says. "The leg shape also produces an excellent mixing behaviour, which means that any harvest residues are optimally mixed into the soil.

"The special shape of the leg gently lifts the ground at the point and does not switch to a steep angle of attack until the guide plate area is reached."

The Amazone Cenio series complements the company’s existing Cenius range. Farmers can equip the new Cenio series with the ‘Special’ or ‘Super’ tines found on the Cenius series.

"The ‘Special’ configuration has a shear bolt overload safety protection, while the ‘Super’ has a compression spring instead," Birbeck says. "Both systems ensure that the working depth is always maintained, even under dry and harsh conditions."

Amazone says the Cenio series’ C-Mix Clip quick-change system enables shares to be quickly replaced or changed to best match operating conditions.

"The 350 mm C-Mix wing share is ideal for shallow cultivating stubbles, while the 80 mm C-Mix share is ideal for deeper cultivation to 25 cm," the company says.

The tines can be mechanically adjusted on the machine or hydraulically from the tractor cab to alter working depths or the Cenio can be equipped with an adjustable levelling unit.

"Alternatively, the levelling unit can be fitted with 410 mm serrated concave discs to process heavy stubble," Birbeck says.

In regards to discs, they come equipped with maintenance-free bearings. While the Cenio can also be equipped with 10 different roller types for reconsolidation.

"The quick-change system means the roller can be decoupled altogether or replaced with a different roller to best suit the prevailing soil type," Paul adds.

Cenio mounted cultivators will be available from early 2021 through Claas Harvest Centre and selected dealers.
