Westfield launches X Series auger range
The new X Series augers are available Australia-wide through Westfield Augers

AGI Westfield has launched its X Series of swing away augers in Australia, with new features it says will help maximise reach and reduce swaying once it has been positioned at a bin.

The X series augers are available in two models – the X10 with a 25cm tube diameter, available in 19.2m, 22.2m and 25.3m lengths; and the X13 with a 33cm diameter tube; available in lengths of 22.5m, 25.6m and 28.6m.

Local distributor Westfield Augers says the series boasts a range of enhancements that will make them easier to use, including external grease zerks, powder coat paint and flighting edges with 10-gauge steel welded to them to help reduce wear.

The augers come equipped with a scissor-lift frame with cross members, using commercial strength steel strussing on longer, heavier models, while heavy-duty cable trussing is used on the smaller models.

The hopper lift arm and hopper can be positioned on the left or right hand side of the auger, offering the convenience of unloading from both sides, and a 15cm rubber extension along the edge of the hopper prevents grain from splashing.

The low profile hopper features left and right hand flighting to pull grain toward the centre of the hopper so it flows efficiently up into the tapered boot – maximising capacity and minimising unload time.

A hydraulic or remote controlled Power Swing is available for either the X10 or X13, featuring a two-wheel drive design and large lug tires for maximum traction and balance.

The Gulp2 drive over hopper is available for the X13 auger and, with a drive-over height of 11.5cm, can be deployed without having to detach or reposition multiple pieces of equipment.

Instead, the hydraulically controlled power swing raises, lowers and positions the Gulp2 with minimal time and energy. The system comes fully integrated and ready to use.

Right angle drive is available as an option on both the X10 and X13, in addition to working light kits, hydraulic hopper winches and reducer-reversers to help reduce the speed of 1,000rpm tractors to the 540rpm needed for an auger.
