BKT has expanded its V-Flexas range of tyres for farm trailers

Indian tyre manufacturer BKT has released a new tyre for all-terrain vehicles it says come with optimised traction to suit off-road conditions.
The Sierra Max Pro is a radial tyre with a wider footprint and robust lugs the company says enables better lateral and forward traction, as well as a smoother ride.
“The Sierra Max Pro has been designed to guarantee an extraordinarily comfortable drive while providing safety and full control over steering and driving,” the company says.
The new BKT product is being launched in the AT 27 X 11 R 14 size, with a AT 25 x 8 R 12 size already under development.
BKT will also expand its V-Flexa range of Very High Flexion (VF) flotation tyres designed for farm trailers – adding three new sizes: VF 600/65 R 26.5, VF 650/55 R 26.5 and VF 560/60 R 22.5.
The company currently only offers the tyres in the VF 600/55 R 26.5 size, adding that its decision to expand the range is a step towards improved sustainability.
VF tyres let tyres transport about 40 per cent more weight at the same air pressure as standard tyres, BKT says.
“The latest-generation Flotation product features a tread with three belt layers in HD (Heavy Duty) steel which provides greater strength to the casing and hence resistance against damaging attacks,” the company says.
“Its extra-large tyreprint enables perfect load distribution, but still operating delicately on the land where necessary, thus avoiding soil compaction and so maintaining the value of crops.”
“Self-cleaning, durability and low rolling resistance complete the qualities which characterise products in this range,” BKT adds.
