Kuhn's hay and forage tools handle heavy work

Able to collect heavy forage and to handle heavy bales, Kuhn’s range of hay and forage tools will help to optimise production, wherever it is used

Kuhn Agricultural Machinery is renowned for offering new and innovative technology that will optimise production.

While Kuhn boasts a wide variety of machinery, the SB 1290 iD large square baler, the Merge Maxx belt merger and the VB 7100 series round baler are at the core of its hay and forage machine range.

Kuhn’s SB 1290 iD large square baler will optimise performance by producing heavier bales and is suitable for all crop conditions including silage, hay and sugar cane. It also has an intake width of 230cm.

To produce heavier bales, Kuhn’s SB 1290 iD increases the compaction by 60-plus tonnes and, as a result, provides the highest density bale by a margin of 25 per cent over conventional balers.

The Merge Maxx 950 belt merger has an uptake width of 7.5m to 9.5m

The SB 1290 iD has been designed with simple, efficient techniques like the integral rotor and power density that produces rock-hard, perfectly shaped 120 x 90cm bales.

Kuhn’s Merge Maxx 760, 950 and 1090 belt mergers are highly versatile machines, designed to optimise the raking process.

With a selection of windrow configurations, the Merge Maxx can gather any type of forage (light or heavy, short or long) to form perfect windrows.

The Merge Maxx has a variety of raking widths from 7.50m up to 10.95m. To maximise output, the working speed of the self-propelled chopper has increased by 3km/h.

Kuhn’s VB 7100 series variable chamber round baler optimises output by processing up to 30 tonnes per hour in various crop conditions including hay, silage and other dry products.

With the four belt and three roller design in the bale chamber and Kuhn’s I-Dense system, the VB 7100 can produce round bales with densities of up to 140kg per cubic metre, offering a fast, secure and consistent bale formation.

It also measures the moisture of the forage and automatically adapts the bale pressure without involvement of the operator. In just four seconds, a bale can be ejected and the tailgate closed ready for the next bale, increasing operator efficiency.
