Hardi’s new Saritor 7000 Mallee edition offers the user a variety of nozzle control options
Sprayer manufacturer Hardi has launched its newest product – the Saritor 7000 Mallee edition – during its annual showcase at the company’s Adelaide head office.
Packed with technology, the 7000L self-propelled sprayer is the result of considerable planning by Hardi’s South Australian team.
Hardi says it has brought “everything we’ve learned about spray technology together into one machine” in creating the Saritor 7000.

It stands out visually thanks to its sleek black design and integrated LED light bar, but its looks are just a tiny part of the equation.
Most importantly, there are four different nozzle technologies which farmers can use depending on their requirements.
One of these is GeoSelect, the manufacturer’s selective spraying technology which was first launched at last year’s showcase, and which uses drone mapping of weeds rather than on-machine cameras that add weight.
Another mode is ActivAir, which is a nozzle on/off system that uses the sprayer’s onboard air supply to instantly open and close nozzles on demand without dripping.
It can also run with Triple Tier 12 – a rapid nozzle switching technology that adjusts the spray rate instantly and accurately without affecting the fluid velocity or droplet size, thanks to two parallel lines of nozzles.
The other option is Hardi’s exclusive H-Select, which is ideal for large-scale operators and coordinates up to four different nozzles at each nozzle body to continually maintain the required target rate across the whole boom over the entire speed range.
The Saritor 7000’s infinitely variable four-wheel drive is controlled by efficient hydrostatic transmission, powered by a 300HP Cummins QSB 6.7 litre Tier III diesel engine.
Fixed track width options from 3m to 3.5m allow the Saritor to adapt to a farmer’s tramlines and ensure lateral stability for the boom.
Four ride-level air bag suspension elements and hydraulic shock absorbers ensure operator comfort and a smoother boom ride.
There are also a range of boom options from 36m to 48.5m.

However, the biggest improvement can be seen in the cab, with Hardi describing it as being “completely reimagined”.
The new Hardi Integrated Vehicle Experience (HIVE) concept is an advanced control system that includes a remodelled armrest console featuring integrated dual and joystick interface, and a conveniently positioned display which gives operators all important information at eye level.
Operators have quick access to a range of controls such as hydraulics, fluid functions, machine diagnostics and cameras thanks to the redesign.
The HIVE concept also features in the sprayer’s filling station, as the screen offers clear filling information plus a range of visual guides and videos to help operators fill their Saritor quickly and safely.
Other touches inside the new Saritor cabin include a heated leather operator’s seat, a new refrigerator and even a redesigned exhaust stack to both reduce cabin noise and increase visibility.
