Redback Agri products a winner for hobby farmer

Victorian hobby farmer Bernadette Dellar is eyeing off her next Redback Agri purchase after winning a $1,000 voucher at Farm World

For one Victorian hobby farmer, attending this year’s Farm World event has paid off in an unexpected way.

Bernadette Dellar claimed a $1,000 Redback Agri voucher, after being selected from 131 entries in the company’s Farm World raffle.

The Shady Creek hobby farmer purchased a Redback ATV triangle and chain harrow during the Gippsland field day and has quickly become a fan of the products.

Winning the voucher gave her the choice of either receiving a credit on her recent purchase or putting it towards future equipment, and it is a strong endorsement of the company’s products that she is looking to expand her Redback collection with a premium arena groomer for her dressage arena.

Bernadette was already familiar with the Redback brand before Farm World and describes her experience at the event as being only positive.

“They were very lovely and couldn’t have been more helpful,” she says.

“I’d already decided I needed harrows, so we stopped and had a look at theirs as they had it on display.

“We bought the display harrows and they said they’ll pack it up for me. They left it at the collection gate and it was all packed up nicely.”

Redback Agri is a generational family business manufacturing agricultural and equine equipment, including weedwipers, harrows, spreaders and arena groomers, along with other farm machinery.

This selection of specialised attachments is well suited to Farm World, which attracts both farmers and lifestyle property owners, and Redback says the event provides an opportunity for customers to see the full product range and speak directly with the team.

“Farm World is all about getting in front of real customers and helping them find the right solution for their property,” Kaylene McKenzie, marketing manager at RGL Group, manufacturer of the Redback range, says.

“It’s great to see the prize go to a local customer who made a purchase at the event and is already putting the equipment to work.”

Bernadette describes her new harrows as being “very good” at undertaking an important process as part of her ongoing pasture management.

“They’ve got a little till on the front ones, which is good because it gets into the ground as well,” she says.

“It just doesn’t go over the top, which is helpful, and then it’s got a good lot of harrows at the back.

“Redback do a lot of implements for four-wheel motorbikes, which is really handy for me because I just have a little hobby farm and the harrows were suitable for that.

“Later on, what I’ll get is the dressage arena groomer, which you can tow behind a four-wheeler as well.

“I just think that implements for small farmers are really handy and very important.

“It was a great price and a great product.”
