iPhone App Review: Landmark

Landmark, the Agricultural supplier, have developed an app for iPhone that is both multifunctional and free.

The Landmark app is a Swiss Army knife of sorts. Contained in the one app is a highly detailed weather report function, a unit conversion and spraying application calculator, a guide to different fertilizers and livestock and much more.

Oftentimes with these ‘jack of all trades’ phone apps you find that whilst they sound great on paper, useful features are drowned in highly specific and situational functions, and general usability suffers. Thankfully, the user interface in the Landmark app is consistent and intuitive, meaning that it is both simple and fast to jump between functions and find what you need.

The weather report aspect is appropriately comprehensive, showing data including everything from humidity and wet bulb temperature, to a satellite map and weather warnings.

Given that this app is available for free, you’d be forgiven for wondering what the catch is. Fortunately, the downsides are quite minor. There is Landmark branding and a store-finder function, as well as the occasional unobtrusive advertisement, but other than that there isn’t much to distract from the overall utility of the program.

Though it only has a few reviews on iTunes, they have all been quite positive, and I would have to agree with them. If this app sounds useful, give it a go by searching it up on the iTunes app store, there’s really nothing to lose.

Download the app for free from the iTunes App store.
