Bazz says it’s been a long time since we put him on a Honda, so he headed to Dalby, Queensland to have a thrash on a new 475cc Honda workhorse.

Even though he reckons there’s no such thing as a ‘hard riding’ ATV anymore, he points out the ‘Sport Mode’, which holds onto a gear through higher revs if you’re driving aggressively.

A top speed of 76km/h also adds to the perception of this being closer to a performance ATV than most you’d find on a farm.

“A great track record and an unmatched reputation for longevity,” says Bazz.

“Ergonomics are first rate, so the TRX is comfortable and easy to live with if you’re on it all day.

“Apart from the quirky transmission controls and that fiddly reverse thing, it’s simple to operate, feels smaller than it is, and comes across as non-intimidating.”
