Serafin is set to launch its brand new Narrowfold Hi Lift seeder, offering easier and safer access to the row units in the same fashion as the Ultisow S40 Hi Lift Seeder, only on a smaller unit.
The Narrowfold Hi Lift came about from the overwhelming success we the company says it has had with its new Ultisow S40 Hi Lift Seeder.
With many customers commenting that they love the idea of having easier and safer access to the row units for servicing, adjustment and maintenance -but needed it on the smaller machines.
Serafin Sales Manager Rodney Dunn says this got the grey matter rattling around and the team got to work on this latest project.
“We decided to design an optional rear frame design that would allow us to hydraulically lift up the machine that would give us the clearance we were chasing,” he explains.
“One thing we had to be careful of was not making this option too expensive and the design we have come up with is not only basic and strong, but didn’t add a huge amount of extra cost to the machine.”
Indicative pricing at the moment will be somewhere between $12 to $15,000 + GST, but this will be finalised in the coming weeks.
The Hi Lift option works by two hydraulic cylinders that lift up the rear frame by approximately 800mm and can be locked up into place with a safety lock.
When the machine is being used In the paddock it is simply lowered down into its normal working position and rests on frame so no load is continually carried on the cylinders.
“It’s simple yet effective and the feedback we’ve received so far has been great,” Dunn says.
“We have a 7metre Narrowfold with this new Hi Lift built for stock, so if anyone would like to have a look in person they can give me a call on 0459 755 881 to arrange a visit at our Griffith office.”
