Arriving in Australian dealerships this November, Kubota says its fastest ever UTV will help improve the way farmers work.
After being launched in the US last year, Kubota’s RTV XG850 Sidekick has made its way to Australian shores, and the company says the new model is perfect for Australia’s rugged landscape.
Kubota product manager Mark Basile says the XG850 will offer something new to the Australian market.
“The XG850 has performed brilliantly overseas and we’re sure it’s going to deliver in spades,” he says.
“It’s been built for speed and versatility with a highly responsive liquid-cooled, twin cylinder petrol engine providing plenty of torque for fast acceleration and take-off to allow farmers to get things done more efficiently.”
With a 48hp petrol engine, and able to hit a top speed of 64km/h, the XG850 also comes equipped with a speed-sensitive Electronic Power Steering (EPS) system, helping improve handling control and increase stability at high speeds, or when carrying heavy loads.
The X850 is equipped to pull with its high-power engine and trailer hitch providing 907kg of towing capacity to cater for a wide range of towing jobs.
Its sturdy steel cargo box capacity of 454kg helps the vehicle move whatever load is required, while independent front and rear suspension guarantees a smooth ride.
The CVT plus transmission with centrifugal clutch keeps the thick, double cogged belt tight for minimal slippage, ensuring a fast response and excellent belt durability.
Fully enclosed to keep out dust and water, the CVT Plus is also well ventilated to cool the CVT belt for increasing longevity.
Internal operations have not been forgotten with a new ergonomic, sports steering wheel and easy to read LCD display to maximise functionality and comfort.
A new line of Kubota attachments and accessories have been developed specifically for the XG850 to cater for every user’s need and preference.
The XG 850 will be available across the Kubota dealer network from November.
