A fresh batch of startups will showcase themselves to the agricultural community at this month’s evokeAG event in Perth
This year’s evokeAG will again allow 40 agrifood tech and innovation startups to introduce their ideas to a wider audience, while an innovation will allow previous startup exhibitors to demonstrate their progress.
AgriFutures Australia’s evokeAG, which is an annual event focused on agrifood innovation, will be held in Perth on February 20 and 21.
It will again feature Startup Alley, a showcase of innovative companies which AgriFutures general manager of global innovation networks Harriet Mellish describes as reflecting the nation’s innovation potential.
“The businesses selected for the Startup Program demonstrate exceptional technology that will help revolutionise the sector, have strong market potential, and a clear vision for the future and growth opportunities for the business,” she says.
“The Startup Program will also connect producers with technology that will help to push their productivity to the edge; help investors and corporates find a competitive edge by partnering with some of the most exciting agrifood tech startups in the region; and highlight technologies and innovations to address some of the most pressing challenges as the world teeters on the edge of ecological, environmental and economic uncertainty.”
“We are very excited and proud to be bringing this impressive cohort to Perth in 2024.
“There aren’t many programs of this kind that connect future industry leaders in the agrifood tech innovation space, directly to global investors and customers that will help them grow, refine, and further market their business.”
Ten of the startups will also be selected to demonstrate their technology to conference attendees through the demo stage.
A new addition to this year’s evokeAG will be Scaleup Station, where 10 previous startup exhibitors can demonstrate their progress and advancements and have further opportunities to connect with potential partners.
Tickets to evokeAG, which will be held at Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, are available from www.evokeag.com
