TYM compact tractor makes Australian debut

Korean tractor manufacturer TYM says its new compact model is a quiet operator with enough grunt to get the job done.

TYM’s new compact T265 tractor might only have 24.5 horsepower (18kW) and a quiet 1,175cc engine, but it’s Australian distributor Inlon says the model packs a mighty punch for its size.

Inlon sales and marketing manager Gary Surman says the T265 comes from a tractor manufacturer renowned for its high quality products that are backed by heavy research and development investment.

“The TYM T265 tractor is like a compact on steroids because it has a strong 865kg dry weight and will push, lift and pull more than sub compact tractors,” he says.

“In fact, the powerful 3 point linkage will lift 700kg, which ensures compatibility with most farm implements.”

On top of this, the tractor has two separate hydraulic systems with plenty of flow for implements and attachments, plus independent rear and mid power take offs to allow the operation of rotary hoes, slashers and mid mount mowers.

“The hydrostatic transmission (HST) has two ranges with two independent side-by-side HST pedals for forward and reverse, giving advanced ergonomic operation,” Surman says.

“With the brake pedals located on the opposite side of the HST pedals, you can use your brakes for ‘brake assist turning’ when required for extra tight manoeuvring.”

The tractor also has oil immersed disc braking and wide industrial tyres for extra stability and traction for slopes and front-end loader work.

It also comes with new features including a level-lift quick-hitch loader and 4-in-1 bucket as well as new lighting and an instrumentation panel.

“The operator has a semi-flat unobstructed platform with excellent entry clearance from either side, while a sleekly styled bonnet gives excellent visibility of the bucket.

Now for sale through Inlon for $22,990 (including GST), the tractor also comes with a 3 year warranty plan for peace of mind, Surman says.
