Steve Brooks takes a closer look at UD's PW 24 280 Tray Truck after he was first introduced to it during its launch. This time, he takes a longer drive with it.
Any Brisbanite knows that jumping in a truck you’ve barely driven before and pointing it at the Toowoomba ranges takes a bit of bravery.
So when Steve Brooks decided to give it a go, we knew he really wanted to see if the new addition to UD’s lineup would live up to expectations.
Though he wasn’t expecting “barnstorming performance”, he was impressed with its ability to get its job done without a fuss – and with ease, too.
“The overall conclusion is that while UD’s new PW model is a fundamentally versatile truck with the potential for a wide range of roles, there’s no question it is best suited to short-haul slogs where driving ease, enviable efficiency and entrenched durability are the foundations for success,” Brooksy reckons.
“From all appearances, UD has kicked a goal with the new PW and according to our sources, is lining up to kick a few more.”
