Yanmar has expanded its YH series of diesel-powered commercial and industrial generators with the addition of five new single-phase models, ideal for applications in the construction, mining, farming and manufacturing industries.
Up until now, the YH series has been exclusively made up of three-phase models but Yanmar local distributor Power Equipment says it recognised an increasing demand for single-phase generators.
“The market has been telling us there’s a need for a quality single-phase Yanmar option, and that demand can now be filled,” Power Equipment business manager Noel Heritage says.
The units are designed as a stand-by power source for any number of commercial situations or as the prime power source for remote, off-grid work such as construction, mining or farming.
The five new single-phase, four-pole (14,500rpm) models range in power from the 6.6kVA YH110DSLS-5F to the 26.6kVA YH440DSLS-5F. All models are fully enclosed and sound-proofed as standard and have the option of adding larger capacity fuel tanks.
The generators are powered by Yanmar’s TNV series water-cooled diesel engines, which the company says meets all current Australian off-highway emissions standards.
The YH series includes turn-key start, rain cap for outdoor use, key-lock fuel access, engine oil drain pump and an emergency shutdown button.
The generators are controlled via a digital control panel that also displays voltage, amperage and frequency, allowing the operator to closely monitor the unit’s output.
Power Equipment says the units are easy to transport by forklift or crane and are available now.
